PASTOR'S CORNER

February 16, 2018

Dear Parishioners,

I hope you have noticed the images of our RCIA at the doors of the church. We have a wonderful group of men and women journeying to Initiation at the Easter Vigil. Lent heightens their preparation, and it is our privilege to walk with them in prayer. The journey of Lent prepares us to celebrate the mystery of Easter with renewed freedom, joy and clarity. As Lent calls us to pray, include the RCIA in your prayers.

Our Visioning process is complete, and now we move into implementation of the Recommendations that emerged from it. We will focus on areas of (1) Leadership and Ministry (2) Liturgy, Prayer and Faith Formation (3) Community Building, Hospitality and Stewardship (4) Service and Outreach (5) St. Elizabeth School (6) Financial Resources and (7) Physical Space. While those are broad categories, there are more specific directives under each which will direct us in the near future. This Visioning gives us the opportunity to claim our legacy, recognize the part we all play in it and continue to build upon it. Together, we are a legacy!

Peace, Fr. Greg
